Ötzi, also called The Iceman, is the natural mummy of a man who lived between 3350 and 3105 BC. Ötzi’s remains were discovered on 19 September 1991, in the Ötztal Alps (hence the nickname “Ötzi”, German: [œtsi]) at the Austria–Italy border. So i actually looked this up and it seems he wore assless goat chaps and a sheepskin loincloth. The reconstruction doesn’t show it, but he also wore a hat made out of bear fur and a leather coat with some kind of liner made of grass underneath. Dude was way up in the mountains, had to keep his butt from freezing off somehow.
