Yesterday i seen a documentary on national geographic how the global ship identification and position system is being hacked by someone and this hacking effect was that British destroyer which was violating Russia territorial waters around Crimea and didn’t wanted to sail away even when Russian coast guard ships fired warning shots at it was appearing to violate Russia territorial waters exactly in the place when it was filmed by both its own crew and the abovementioned Russian ships.
So literally everyone confirmed the incident did happened as recorded, including:
- Their own lying eyes
- Russian ships and their videos
- British ship and their video
- Russian government
- British government (they even tried to minimise it by claiming Russians were on firing drill in the place, not shooting warning shots at british ship)
- International ship identification system
- National Geographic document
But the same NG document claimed the ship position (and hundred of other cases specifically NATO ships) was hacked and appeared at different place despite it clearly not happening. I can’t even understand it unless the entire document was trying to either indirectly cover for the Nordstream sabotage or manufacturing consent for some future incident.
So, my point is that identification system workings have basically no bearing whatsoever on what imperial media conglomerate will manufacture consent for.
Yes what you are saying would work for domestic audiences… manufacturing consent. But the context here is trying to make China and Russia fight each other if I am not mistaken (tired and sleepy). Wouldn’t work for that i don’t think.
Yes it wouldn’t matter in the case of Russia who was recently taught not to trust western media and China which is largely protected from it for decades. Though they might be overestimating their propaganda capability since it very often succeeded before, like in the case of entire Eastern Block where western cultural assault and penetration did very much to turn the peoples of socialist countries against socialism.
this would raise many questions, such as “How did the PRC get a squadron of F-22s?”, “Why aren’t they using J-20s?”, “Why are our IFF systems singing yankee doodle at me?” etc.
And then Russians and Chinese collaborate to deal aerial strikes on US territory. Really ingenious.
