I get a paywall/prompt that demands I get rid of my ad blocker. Therefore, I cannot read the article to confirm however, I would like to say that ICE is not a law enforcement agency. I can’t really blame someone from doing everything they can do to escape a lawless gang of criminals. Like, you go with them and you’re already fucked.

Not trying to undermine you, only here to point out misinformation: what is the letter E in ICE mean then?
They’re enforcing something but it’s not the law. It’s the decree of the supreme ruler.
So I guess it’s the law in some sense if you would consider Royal decree the same thing as legislation.
But maybe jokes on me that I still think there should be such a thing as actual laws.
Keep giving people less and less to lose and see what’s going to happen
