Today’s game is Animal Crossing New Horizons. I’ve been busy today so I just laid in bed and played this. First thing of note is fuck this guy. Like, I can’t get him out of my camp. He’s been there like a week and I don’t know why. He won’t leave. I don’t know if there’s something I’m missing or what. Anyways. Fuck him (not really though).

My bridge I started is coming alone okay ish. It’s almost 200,000 bells so I’m finding it hard to actually pay for it. Usually I’ll pop in, fish a little, harvest fruit, and then drop them in the sales box and pop off. It makes me around 10,000 Bells daily so it’s a nice steady pace. I do wish it was faster though.

I’ve also got a carrot cake I’ve been keeping on my floor. It’s been there like a week but I don’t think I’ve shared it. So this is like the formal “Floor Carrot Cake” announcement. I guess it’s part of the decoration now.

I ended the day just by chilling on the beach. Honestly I think the design is what this game nails perfectly. It’s got the perfect beach noises and feel. Same with snow. It’s got that sparkle and crunch snow has that I feel like a lot of games don’t. Anyways. I kind of just closed my eyes for a bit until I had to put it away to charge. The sounds were nice.

It’s funny, I haven’t had a switch in years but I regularly think about animal crossing. There’s just a vibe that you can’t get anywhere else, but I do recall getting bored of it when I was actually playing it.

Maybe I’ll figure out how to put it on the steam deck to scratch the itch whenever it does pop up again.

I used to play it on Deck for the longest time, it ran pretty well, only real bottleneck was the battery, which i mean, i feel like is the Deck’s major weakpoint anyways. It’s not too hard to setup if you know what you’re doing

Emudeck is pretty easy to work with (although be careful where you get your “switch dependencies”).

I can’t get him out of my camp.

This guy comes when you are building something. You probably need to pay more bells before he can complete his work. Dont’ recall if you need to talk to him or go to Town Center and talk to Tom Nook / Isabelle.

Ah, well that’s why he is there then 😀

After taking care of all the main stuff, we decided to redecorate the whole island and move all the houses, didn’t want to spend too much time earning money so I “cheated” and got into Turnip business. Made tons of money. There used to be online apps where you could enter details of your island and it’s weather for few days and it would deduce the seed of your island, giving you details of turnip prices and when the meteor shower will be etc.

There was also a discord where people shared the prices of turnip in their island, so people would go to island with low rate and then go to island with high rate and sell it there.

I meant the lion in the main picture, my bad. I probably should have clarified lmao. Lloid is good to stay, i might look into the turnip seed thing you mentioned though, as definitely my major gripe about the game is it feels like a chore popping in to take care of everything. I know that’s like the core of the game, but generally it’s everything else i care about with the game

        Ah, my bad.

If it’s your first camper, I think you have to take them, they won’t leave otherwise.

If you mean you can’t get the lion guy out of the campsite, then I think it may be because you have to invite the first campsite visitor to live on your island. He might stay there till you do.

That’s probably it, i’ll have to invite him then so i can clear it out for others. I’ve been confused why he’s been there so long

When I recently played I found selling off fossils you found can get some decent money in too. But you need the museum and have them identified, or maybe that worked before the museum too? Cannot remember.
