Yeah, I switched to an ibr/idr last year because while all this was going on the forbearance they were holding people’s accounts in weren’t counting towards time for the standard forgiveness. And who knows how long that is gonna still be a thing.
Everyone should just band together and default. The system would implode.
They usually just start garnishing people’s wages, so automatically taking the owed money from your paycheque. They don’t get it back all at once, but they will get it back unless you work entirely for cash an don’t pay taxes.
