Fiddling while CDs burn
My wife asked me to burn a cd with some data a few weeks ago. I take the spindle of blank CDs (that have been my “empty cup holder” for the past few years) and insert the first (supposedly) empty CD in the burner. No label on it. And it was not empty (animatrix part1). Ok, try second one. You guessed right, animatrix part2. Repeat for almost the first 10 “blank” CDs.
Past me was an asshole.
Alternatively, “I’ll just mark this one with this funny word, no way I’ll mix it up with the 394 other funny word cd’s”
I always wanted a LightScribe drive so I could print the label on the CD while it was being burned. Though I have heard from others who did have one that they kinda sucked. The only thing I thought kinda sucked about them was they needed special CDs and DVDs to do the label printing on so you’d spend more on the medium. 🤷♂️
