A Pentagon photo promoting military AI use appears to show an AI agent being asked to help "create a war," raising questions about the context behind the prompt.

    A Department of Defense official told Newsweek that the prompt referred to a “Weekly Action Report” (WAR), a standard document used throughout the department to summarize weekly accomplishments. The official said the image showed a warfighter using GenAI.mil to create an agent for generating the report.

    Funny to imagine, but has a reasonable explanation.

      Yeah, Newsweek is annoying with their clickbait headlines. This seems like such a nothing story. In fact, this is probably one of the few things in the military LLMs are good for.
