That approach isn’t all sunshine and rainbows though, it’ll undercut local businesses (the few remaining ones), and without ID of Nyc residents non-nyc ppl could take advantage of these stores to resell the goods for a higher price…
I’m not sure how NYC is going to sustain the costs as well, more taxes? Capital flight will be a problem. Not a musk fan here, but there’s two faces to this coin.
None of those are reasons not to try a good idea. They are just problems to solve.
Also, have you ever been to those areas of NYC? Bulk buying, transport, and resale of food isn’t that easy to do in the best of times.
i understood the business model to be no shareholders or ceos draining money out of the business.
government services do not need to turn a profit, they need to break even.
