Sadly the vast majority has no idea what communism is, apart from what decades of CIA propaganda has told them. Hell, most don’t even know what capitalism is. The average person might tell you capitalism is when “money and lots of stuff to consume”.

This is only in particular social groups. Mainly school age children - almost all of them use iOS. Yet still it’s about 50-50 for the nation overall, it’s not at all at “herd immunity” levels where you can reasonably expect every single friend to use iOS

That’s reasonable and a valid thing to point out but I don’t think that’s what this person’s problem was. It’s possible that’s what the original person as going for but they probably should have clarified if that’s what they were pointing out. The second person was just overtly anti-communist(or at least this weird form of “any luxury is bourgeois” communist).
