        Dude, practically an entire generation was given a smartphone with games and full internet without restrictions, became so fucking addicted to it that they suffer mental health issues and get traumatized if it’s taken away from them and think it’s like cutting someone’s hand off.

        You’re not going to convince them of anything if it means not letting the kid have a phone 24/7 without restrictions.

        Asking them isn’t abuse. Making them is. Stealing their things and causing them distress is.

            No, making your kid do chores as a condition of the free life they have isn’t abuse.

            Making them do work for you is abuse. They don’t have a free life. They can’t move out and they’re punished if they don’t follow orders.
