    1. create an overvalued and exorbitantly expensive AI industry

    2. get shit on by a chinese competitor for a fraction of the money

    3. immediately ban all of the technology to replicate their breakthrough, and ban all access to the technology directly

    4. ???

    5. all my apes global hegemony gone

    lol

For anyone that has some time on their hands you can set up a Paper Trade account for free on TradingView and invest your monopoly fake money into stocks (like NVDA or why) and watch realworld news and events impact your “investment”. It’s a fun way to see capitalism in action.

Here’s NVIDIA taking a huge fucking shit on the news that Deepseek is coming to kick their ass, riiiiggggtttt around the time OpenAI was on their knees in front of Trump begging for another half trill to get them through the next little gulley 😂

There’s a LOT of monies tied up in US AI.

Enough that folks are losing their asses over this. Of course the purse holders want their fucking coin. The fix isn’t in yet, but it’s OTW.

Lmao, this writer is surely directly paid by the State Department. The other article linked at the end of this one is “unnamed sources (some of them not white, allegedly!) claim that the R1 thinking knows the Truth about Red China, but the Seeseepee demands the machine censor itself”. Do not interrogate why the Evil Repressive State would demand the final result be censored but have nothing to say about the equally visible “thinking” process! Eat the slop!

i think we should probably separate in our minds a ban from like an organization telling its employees not to use a thing. ChatGPT is “banned” at my workplace but I am able to use local LLMs because they dont want me sending shit to OpenAI. If the navy has a halfway good security posture it should have some list of sanctioned LLMs people are allowed to use because who knows what some random company is doing with what you send to their API.

this article is not very good in other words
