    Team America The World Police.

Americans seem to forget the problems with America, and the problems that the rest of the world has had with America, didn’t start with Trump. America has always been a problem. Trump just turned it into a parody of itself.

When did Trump or Biden attack the country of Iraq? Iraq is a US strategic partner and the US basically pays for their entire military. Even claiming Obama attacked the nation of Iraq is a big overreach, imo.

Fuck all of this but it feels like a bad metric. The number of countries vs the size of the attacks might be relevant. Once again I don’t support any of it but one strike on a bunker is a lot different than an entire war.

An argument could’ve been made that Trump was worse domestically because ICE but Bush was worse internationally because Iraq/Afghanistan. I don’t think that argument will hold any water by the time Trump is no longer president.

Better than Trump? Bush was absolutely and in every way a better president than Trump.

“Better than Trump” is the lowest possible bar one could pass.

          Agreed. Bush soars over it.

First there’s the base level of competence. He wasn’t actively making everyone worse, every day.

I’m not disregarding all the terrible things he did, but he also did a non-zero number of good things.

Between him and Trump, it’s not close.

Bush invaded Iraq without a contingency plan. Threw away any credibility the US had as a serious country. Handed it over to Iran-linked militias, saw the Sunni side create IS in the north… Drew away resources from Afhganistan because he needed to distract the voters in 2003.

Sure Trump is a total clown but in comparison he’s done far less damage

Bush also created PEPFAR and saved more than 20 million lives in Africa.

Trump dismantled PEPFAR, and that alone will cost something like 15 times more lives than Bush’s unjust wars.

Bush was not a good president, but saying he’s worse than Trump is just ridiculous.

Tbf there isn’t really a way to avoid having blood on your hands as an American without going to jail. Simply abstaining from election doesn’t stop the violence, nor does it isolate you from the societal benefits of imperialism.

If you pay taxes to a country making war, you are by default funding that war. The great illusion of our bicameral Congress is choice, when in reality our government has always been beholden to the senatorial class.

Generally your options are to engage in harm reduction by voting for the lesser of two evils, or to engage in civil disobedience and be imprisoned.

Lol living in the US means 99% you’re living on land that was genocided from under the natives. It’s just funny to worry about ‘harm reduction’ wrt one more wedding or girl school being bombed

Kind of my point? Like any western nation it’s all built on imperialism to one degree or another.

It’s just funny to worry about ‘harm reduction’ wrt one more wedding or girl school being bombed

          The alternative option being?

Guy is a score-chaser. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got rid of unmanned drones so that he could get the high score for most casualties of war.
