Europe’s biggest mistake in recent history is allowing the mass immigration of the muslim world. They are reaping the consequences daily. I hope more countries wake up. Look to Poland for their policies and the safety of their citizens.

This is an English article translated from Portuguese by a Brazilian news source focused on Italy (lol), based on an Italian news.

    Okay.

Brazil and Argentina have the largest population of Italian descent outside of Italy iirc. While most of them are not reactionary and don’t give a shit about Italy besides being a place that they can get citizenship and vacation, some are weird about it because they think they are fully italians and that Italy gives a shit about them, same is valid for Japanese-Brazilian/Peruvians.

Brazil has the largest population of Italian descent outside of Italy, with an estimated 30 to 32 million citizens having full or partial Italian ancestry, representing about 15% of the total Brazilian population. The city of São Paulo is often cited as having the highest concentration of Italians in the world.

The way this headline is phrased, it implies he is defending a specific marriage, perhaps even his own.

This isn’t what happened, even according to the article itself.

    Quote (machine translated):

During the recording, the journalist inquired about the age at which a young woman would be considered an adult according to the Quran. The imam responded that adulthood is linked to the menstrual cycle. Ali Kashif stated that a 9-year-old girl could be considered an adult from a scientific standpoint.

Pretty far from advocating child marriage.

EDIT: To clarify, it sounded to me like he was answering in an abstract, academic “this is what the book says” kind of way, and being taken out of context. Seems like I was wrong, and he’s actually just like that.

      //CW mantions of CSA

From the looks of it a Pakistani imam who got into an interview with an agent pretending to be a convert, who kept asking “when is a girl considered an adult”, Ali.K kept saying when she hits puberty. I’m guessing the agent asked “what if she’s 9 and hits puberty” and he says yes.

Article is clearly chud propaganda considering that it calls a random imam a “Muslim leader” you’d think he was a marjaa or a grand shiekh, could be just a guy using his home as a prayer spot for all we know.

As for the actual subject of the matter, it’s far too complex and sensetive for me to talk about, I’m not really someone who can judge or speak about it. There’s a side of arbitrary age lines [T], meaning of what is an adult and what is marriage, a side of the Saudi funding of madrassas in Pakistan.

There’s also a difference in sexual taboos, like from my experience (not my personal) I notice that a relationship (CSA) is very different from western societies to uneducated areas, like a relationship between a 12 year old and a 20 year old in (A) rural third world country is completely different from a relationship with the same ages in a first world country or a (B) developed part of that same third world countries, both relationships are abusive and are CSA, but the person in the (A) is uneducated thinks it’s normal and does not comprehend the scope of the relationship and the dangers and abuse that come with it. Person (B) knows it’s wrong and comprehends what the consequences of the actions are and are what they seek.

The issue should be solved by third world thinkers in this case Muslims like every other topic like feminism, gender and queer rights. And can’t be solved by chauvinism from the Imperial core.

The action of the Italian state clearly comes from anti-immigrant and Islamophobic motives, because pedophiles like Trump, Clinton don’t get punished, or actually Epstein could be revived from the dead and would walk freely around Europe and America without fearing state action from the looks of it.

Another issue here is the danger of the new age of “Pop imams” who can not question narratives or the possibilities of misinterpretation or complexity of certain subjects, uneducated and unsuitable for roles and only parrot the source that they grew up with. From my basic Islamic school education they still shouldn’t be allowed to marry at that age because it guarantees physical and psychological harm and isn’t a necessity to preserve life. two things that you need knowledge about child health and safety to know about.

[T] how at the same age a child can be considered responsible enough to harm themselves through alcohol but too young to consent in some parts of Europe, but it’s the otherway around in America, same thing with the age to drive join the military and vote.

edit: more context has been added by the keld comment, so I take back my wording on the first paragraph.

TikTok Imams are a plague to this earth.

In many contexts that I have experienced, being an “adult” means you start wearing your hijab, which is usually after the first period.

The rage bait is stupid though. In Islam, local laws take precedence if they don’t restrict your religious beliefs. There is no fundamental law in Islam saying you must marry a 13 year old, so local laws take precedent. However, if France does a hijab ban, you don’t follow that law because it is a restriction on your beliefs.
