Mormon leaders, military veterans and elected officials reacted with anger to a new Department of Defense policy that does not consider The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be a Christian religion as part of a wider effort to cut down the U.S. military’s list of recognized faiths.

“The Pentagon’s decision to list The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints apart from other Christian faiths is wrong and needs to be corrected,” Republican Rep. Mike Kennedy, of heavily Mormon Utah, wrote on X on Sunday.

Uh ohhh, the inner circle is shrinking

The people who thought they’d be in the ‘in group’ once again find themselves in the ‘out group’ who could have possibly seen this coming?

The inner circle is always shrinking, it’s part of the fascistic “eternal struggle” bullshit; there’s always got to be an enemy.

If Hegsworth wasn’t drunk he could have played an Uno reverse and asked the Mormon’s who gets in their heaven.

But them fracturing early is a huge boon to the rest of us. The Christian right has sunk a lot of time, efforts, and their daughters into converting our military officers, especially in the Air Force. Not to mention how they go after young politicians desperate for funding.

But trump is co-opting their plans and forcing them early.

If they had another decade or two, they’d likely have their faithful in full control of our government and military, then we wouldn’t even have noticed a coup. They’d have just denied it was happening and pretended it was coincidence.

The wild thing is that they were always going to turn on the Mormons. The evangelicals fucking hate the LDS Church, and they’ve been pretty candid about that for a long time. But the Mormons so badly wanted to be in the conservative Christian gang they convinced themselves they would always be accepted.

The evangelicals treated the Mormons like useful idiots. Now they think they have no use for them. So they’ve become just idiots.

This right here is the shit I’ve been waiting for. They’ll turn on Catholics soon enough and I’m shocked Jehovah’s Witnesses exist in the list at all since there’s literally no members allowed to do anything in the military not even non-combat. Evangelicals aren’t even a homogenous group in and of themselves, consisting of the likes of Baptists and Pentecostals who disagree strongly about… certain things.

They all used to piss and bitch and fight each other all the time. Seems they realized they were all headed for the dustbin of history recently, but I knew it couldn’t last forever…

Exactly. Catholics will be next. Then Orthodox and Coptic church members, and yeah the JWs. Oh, and the liberal Lutherans and Episcopalians too.

And then the evangelicals will start cannibalizing each other. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them unify into a single church that worships Trump as a prophet (profit? Haha), and that group viciously takes down any other evangelicals still standing.

Hopefully things don’t get to that point.

My great grandmother was part of a Pentacostal church that split in half over a single bible verse. But they were both still speaking in tongue after the split.

Catholics are up soon. Evangelicals will flat out try and convert them since they are not Christians.

      This.

This is what the Mormons are now known for, and forever shall be. Owning the police terrorists who are the private army of the Mormon Bricks & Minifigs thieves who scammed a dying man out of his LEGOs.

As long as they list the Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, I’m good. The Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912 will of course burn in Hades forever.

As the outcast in a large family of Mormon Trump followers, I love this news. It’s almost worth reaching out to those I cut off to ask them how happy they remain with their votes.

Do you think they even know? Most of the Trump dipshits are in their own information bubbles and things like this generally don’t penetrate their thick skulls.

I don’t know if you understand Mormon culture or not. They spent decades of lobbying and advertising to be counted as Christians in the first place. Fucking with the church holds more sway to them than anything else. The church being shunned like this means the church will have to send a message and they own all of the politicians outright.

… I doubt they’re going to fuck up the entire federal government.

If the plan is for the LDS church to take over rescue America after the entire Federal government falters, what’s a little accelerationism between friends?

I don’t know how many LDS folk are explicit White Horsers.

My understanding is the average Mormon has a highly developed interest in self-sufficiency and preparedness.* So even if the normie LDS aren’t White Horsers their preparedness would be useful to White Horsers during the chaos of any theocratic transition.

Yep you’re right. Supposedly the LDS church doesn’t donate to political campaigns (per Google). Though I find it difficult to believe they don’t use their massive fortune to influence elections.

There aren’t that many of them and I don’t believe the influence is that big outside of where they live.

I mean, yeah, the government loves hiring them. But that’s because they don’t have any of the traditional vices. They don’t get drunk cuz they don’t…

But I don’t think they’re ending the fed anytime soon.
