on reddit I keep getting banned from it because either a leftist space is reactionary, toxic people, or automod sees me saying something anti-Zionist and banishes me. I’m so grateful I can say fuck Zionists and fuck Israel here
You can also say ‘all Nazis should die and I wish they’d kill themselves’ here too.
Reddit is an absolute cesspit. You get banned for saying the slightest left leaning thing but people can spout sexist, neo nazi crap all day and don’t get banned. I actually got banned for calling another redditor a child molester because he was talking about how attracted he is to children. He didn’t get banned, but I did!
Welcome lol I got all my accounts permabanned for saying we should kill ICE agents because they’re fascist lapdogs of capital. This was especially during the time they killed that Alex Pretti fellow after they had about half a dozen of those ghouls dog piled onto him. The whole thing was caught on camera. All of it.
Fuck ICE, death to ICE, every last one of them should be rooted out from their homes and made an example of. If they’re gonna pick up a gun to serve capitalists and attack and abduct working class people, especially some of the most exploited and villainized from among them, no sympathy will be afforded to these fascist ghouls. I’m glad record is kept of all these things, especially who is affiliated with this monstrous institution. We will overthrow capitalism and establish workers’ power, and we will know precisely who the enemies of the workers are and we will root them out.

Every Zionist should be put in a camp, Obama was a genocidal maniac, Stalin was based, North Korea is good, China is socialist, killing billionaires is morally correct, JDPON Don 2028, death to the Ukranian Nazi regime
Its called freedom of speech, liberal

Almost correct on everything. China isn’t socialist tho. Ask yourself, what socialist country would have a stock market? Would you want to live in a “socialist” country that has stock market, speculation etc.?
Lmao. Shame to see this take on Lemmygrad of all places.
If this is a genuine good faith opinion you hold, I honestly don’t intend to argue it with you. Countless articles, essays, debates, and comments have been written about this exact thing, so much so I don’t intend to repeat the same point ad nauseum. You can search up those writings for that and read them yourself.
I’ll save my breath, and let China’s future on the world stage do the talking.

东方红。
Read theory bruh ffs. Start with Deng’s essays on opening of China’s markets.
And once you’ve read theory, you’ll find that China is in social movement. The proletarian revolution created a proletarian state. That state dominates the private market to ensure capitalist interests are subordinated to the interests of the workers’ state.
USSR had the NEP for the same reason. You can’t press a button and become socialist. Not how it works.
China has to balance building socialism, governing 1.4bn people, improving their material conditions, be the most rational actor in international politics, AND CONSTANTLY DEFEND AGAINST IMPERIALIST RHETORIC AND AGGRESSION.
The easiest answer here is that socialism is not communism. Socialism is often described as a transitory state to communism – a state controlled by the workers, operating in their interests, and working towards a classless, stateless, moneyless society. You can be a billionaire in China, but billionaires can’t grab control of the government.
Ask yourself (or research) what would it take for a country to remain socialist and still have a stock market.
(That’s not tongue-in-cheek. It is the counter-side to why a country like Norway is not socialist despite having one of the better welfare systems outside of dictatorships of the proleteriat.)
Reading resources (to begin with):
A: - Why the World Needs China by Kyle Ferrana (easier to read)
B: - Losurdo (denser):
- An educational trip to China, Reflections of a Philosopher
- by Roland Boer - Domenico Losurdo in China: An Insight into the State of Marxist Education and the CPC
TLDR: If dialectical materialism is a thing (it is), we have to consider in the transition from capitalism to communism via socialism what mechanisms of capital will be in the socialist state.
If you could only read one thing then I would recommend Ferrana’s book. If you wanted a wider-scope theory-dense analysis than the above list then I would recommend Losurdo’s work on Western Marxism.
Hope that helps.
Vietnam has a stock market. So does Laos.
Got an issue with living in China? Their standards of living are quite high.
We shouldn’t get hung up on Marxist orthodoxy. China IS the single best hope for communism in the world right now, and we should support that effort. Not blindly of course. But fundamentally, capital does not hold power in China, China is making strides every day towards communism, and the Chinese system is starting to spread to the global South, placing several countries on a viable path of liberation and sovereignty.
China was spared the fate of the USSR, because they realized that being under constant siege by most of the world was not a good strategy. They regressed somewhat, but the aim was to make themselves indispensable to the world economy, and thus dethrone the US from its role as economic hegemon. We see today that this has succeeded. And now (for the past 10 years) China is progressively returning back to what it had before it made these pro-capital changes. And this is only possible because China has never allowed the capitalist class it has fostered to take over the government.
As Marxists, our foremost principle when analyzing AES is to remember that the way socialism/communism are implemented depends on the material conditions of the country in question. There is a material reason for China allowing capitalist elements in its economy as I stated above.
I used to think like you once upon a time, until I started reading news on what is actually happening in China. I would suggest you do the same.
Please read this, there are many sources here: https://lemmygrad.ml/post/12489174/8563515
Do you know how embarassing it is to read you people calling China not socialist because of literal non-issues? Instead of asking: “What power has capital in the PRC?” you go with “stock exchanges = no socialism”. How about your study the basics before you declare anyone anything?
during the new economic policy (NEP), roughly 1921-1928, the rsfsr had markets, money, private trade, and some forms of commercial speculation. it had commodity exchanges, where goods such as grain and industrial products were traded, and the government controlled foreign-exchange and currency dealings.
I was banned for “holodomor denial” when I got into a fight with the a worldnews mod over DMs when the guy was literally spouting that Stalin himself ordered mass-shootings of 3 out of ten Ukrainians and I was telling him “Uh, no, Stalin wasn’t just out there decimating Ukrainian villages”
It’s worldnews, are you shocked?
Big Spoon Theory
If only Stalin used his big spoon to scoop up the great-grandparents of the Reddit creators and eat them
I think the funniest part is the mod thought Stalin himself was out there like fucking Lanius decimating “tribal ukrainians.”
Killing slave owners is morally correct

It’s unbelievably shitty (but not entirely useless yet I guess) and it’s even more embarrassing seeing people ON THERE complaining about how much it sucks and how the userbase are idiots…like… just leave?? Same with twitter lol. Just bite the bullet and free yourself.
Ugh, tell me about it. Straight up gave me the mental strength to try organizing in real life, and many here have been so helpful and educational in further socialist history and philosophy. Cheers~
Im at the point i can’t make a new account on the app or it permabans it right away.
Been using it in browsers. My PC decided to link it to my Gmail which was banned so that ones gone, my browser on my phone recently permabanned me for “inciting hatred against people for their identity” and frankly if thier identity is zionist they deserve all the hate and more
Funny thing is that I waited for like a month and a half, wiped all data and passwords from my old accounts, and then was able to create another account. It shadowbanned me but then I just say the same shit of “it’s my first time using reddit, why am I banned?” because to lie to these fuckers is good (but I still feel guilty somehow), and then your account isn’t shadowbanned anymore. Make sure to wipe cookies and cache too.
I can’t make an account from anywhere even with a fake mail because they get banned within a day
Yeah it is that better, to add to your point, unlike reddit, it doesn’t ban you for daring to link peertube or tankie.tube
Welcome!
I hadn’t been on reddit in over 5 years. Sometime recently, somebody linked here something from Reddit, and I thought I’d try the new AI mod features. I wrote a comment on how a revolution is absolutely necessary to fix the world, or something like that, and I got an automated 3 day ban. My 14 year account was totally clean up to that point XD
Bro i was banned for the mildest thing. I suggested to excercise your 2nd amendmant against ice and trump.
I don’t live in the US, and anticommunism is a feature of America, its vassals and its imperialism. Trump is a bourgeois figurehead for the public to cast blame upon while the bourgeoisie hide behind him and tug his strings like a puppet, ICE is an arm of the American government and as such functions under its orders. Libs have had no issue with ICE doing this to marginalised people over a decade ago when Obama was in office, it’s only now that imperialism coming home, turning inwards and affecting the labour aristocrats, that it’s perceived as bad.
Yep got banned for saying something about israelis, probably something they state themselves, but since its basically stating something about a “group of people” reddit will flag you and ban you.
Ngl my favorite part is that I can use the Mlem app on iPhone which uses SwiftUI so it’s so much nicer to use than the Reddit app
I like it here. It’s like if Reddit had kept evolving in a positive direction instead of the enshittified slop mill it’s become.
