This is extremely incorrect. Kanye West is a literal neo nazi and is still selling out shows and merchandise. Most of his fans are normies, but they also allow the propagation of right wing talking points by excusing his views for the sake of “art.” Not to mention, if you know young people who listen to Kanye, many of them will also lean towards right libertarian and constantly bemoan ‘political correctness”. Kanye also espouses a certain brand anti racism that aligns with white supremacy as he blames the woes of black people on themselves, the vague “elite,” or literally just Jews.
Much of rap music is also very conservative. I don’t automatically associate conservatism = right wing, but the more bigoted fans of rap have no issue with the right wing politics outside of overt/targeted racism against black people.
But regarding specifically the brand of rap that is “MAGA/conservative rap,” older white people are drawn to this crowd because it’s either a safe, friendly white man rapping about killing trans people, or One of the Good Ones rapping about killing trans people (or black on black crime). There are some younger fans too, but they’re usually exclusively white kids who are too sheltered to be allowed to listen to conventional rap or Kanye.
You also got Nazis in Ukraine and Russia making war montages with pseudo Memphis phonk remixes.

I think as Gen X and elder millennials increase their presence in the party that’s starting to change, at least the opinions on rap.

I was wondering this. I don’t think the audio track is synced properly in the edit. A lot of the cuts are on beat but some of the lip synching is waaaay off.

Honestly I support this dumpster fire (from a safe distance). AmeriKKKa is finally getting the representation it deserves- not what it needs, perhaps, but that isn’t available within this genocidal, imperialist regime. Till it is overthrown, this is the next best thing as I see it.
As a Klanadian we’re no much better, with our parliament giving standing ovations to Nazi SS veterans. But sometimes medicine is a bitter pill to swallow, this is just the real face of the system. And if the medicine is truly puke-worthy, I suppose at least that forces change. Either that or kills the recipient, which in the case of the empire is perfectly fine by me as well.
(I’m not an accelerationist, but in terms of merely embarassing cringe like this it works- and also, when the empire is literally in the early stages of WW3 and actively participating in industrial genocide, a whole slew of things become preferable and the opposite of accelerationism when looking at the bigger global picture)
