    It blows my mind that anybody would want to cheat a marathon. For what? To show off “I got a sub 4h” to friends? That’s a time that’s doable for anyone willing to put the work in.

    I freaking love the dedication of Marathon Investigations. On one hand, I think, “it’s a dirty job but somebody’s gotta do it.” But on the other hand I think, “Does somebody REALLY have to do it?”

        Yeah, that’s my opinion, too. As a runner I’ll never qualify for Boston, not least because I’ve never done a marathon and I have a pretty slow 1/2 time. But I actually do the half marathons, so that slow time is my time. It’s so weird to me people feel the need to cheat, but it’s flatly wrong to take someone’s spot with a bogus time

          Social media is a hell of a drug

          And dont give up on boston or whatever dream race you have

          I could never imagine when i started that i could reach my current PR

    I mean, they didn’t even win. Were they just faking it to be able to flex on people? Oh I finished in X hours! Good for youuuuu

      I bet they want to be “influencers” and sell their wellness plans & fitness gear. Them running marathons together is the backstory, but she wants to shortcut the work behind it.
