Has everyone missed that the original post is by Hasan Piker?

He is obviously talking about the lack of slop relating to what he wants to comment about on his 8 hour daily stream.

“Read a book” barely makes sense in that context, although he has put theory on the stream before, and probably should do that if the news cycle is slow!

Im not convinced by anyone who says they have run out of any kind of entertainment its quite literally impossible to run out. Burned through all their anime and shows… how? Its like 2 weeks how do you run out of anything

my backlog is absolutely immense, but I do find myself saying i’ve “run out” of things to watch, usually because the backlog is filled with incredibly long/slow content, or something that i know is going to like emotionally devastate me.

Yeah I mostly watch Tv and Movies these days but if I somehow ever would run out of stuff to watch there . I could just watch stuff on my anime and cartoon backlog and suddenly have a 50 to a 100 things to watch

Yeah, I’m over here with a backlog of like 90 shows and movies and I keep adding more faster than I can get through them! Not to mention video games, TTRPGs, whatever! The trough is always full for those with discerning snouts.

He talks like he watches that much anime. There’s hundreds of hours of high-quality anime that he could watch if he’s caught up on Bleach and One Piece. Does he even watch other anime?

Not to be that guy. But that only tells me the person in question only has surface level knowledge about the respective media if they “run out of things to watch”

Like I watched a total of 40-50 things in 2025. Shows/Tv/Movies and some anime. I enjoyed most of the things I watched to different degrees.

Without even trying I already have 4-5 things lined up for 2025 (and If I REALLY wanted I could probably double that)

All of that is with mostly watching new releases as well. You can always go back and watch older stuff.

Fairly correct, Hasan has ‘normie’ taste in anime, just Shonens and Studio Ghibli films. Something like Revolutionary Girl Utena would probably blow his mind if was not too low budget for him to be out of his rader. But it might piss him off with its magical realism. Also it being a magical girl show.

He’s not saying that he doesn’t read books. In the second tweet, Hasan clarifies that he is asking for something to listen to while he lift weights. Hasan has a bachelor’s degree in political science.

      (a) the degree in nonsense. but also as if degree had anything to do with book reading in the first place, cmon.

      (b) listening to news while lifting weights (???) lmao, but not books, okay. (and self-reflecting is for those boomers who don’t have content brainrot apparently, shining example for kids and lefties everywhere)

His degree is evidence that he’s read at least 1 book. Also he read Marx at university, I think as part of his degree. You could say that you disagree with his interpretations of Marx, but he did read it.

What someone listens to while they exercise is personal preference. I would be surprised to see someone reading a book in between reps. I would guess he watches news during lifting and then talks about the news he watched on stream afterward.
