Finally updating my citizenship status so I could get proof of citizenship against ICE (not that it does much) and open a savings account and start building credit.
Started volunteering.
Took a pottery class that led to me being obsessed with pottery and im going to take another class next semester.

Got a job. The amount of relief I have is immeasurable. Trying to figure out how to build a social life that isnt full of people who are either actively shitty or people who activate my stuff from growing up and life in general. Theres a few people who dont already, but I want to actually have social life instead of whatever you’d call this here right now. People are scary.
I started playing DnD again. Our group is super reliable and funny and I’m very grateful to be able to play with them every week
Going to be moving to Washington in a few weeks, all expenses paid and rent covered for a little bit while my partner and I get our feet underneath us

I did a watch party for the premiere, Wednesday before last, but I do worry if many people missed the announcement.
I didn’t catch it either. I’m rarely free around the time of blorptube sessions so I don’t really pay any attention to whats going on over there.

Yup, since the cartoon takes place in my conworld. I was originally going to do the whole script in my conlang, but that ended up being very tedious and time-consuming, so I ended up only doing the intro.

I am not Sámi, no. I’m from South Norway, so I learned a fair bit about Sámi people in school, and also in my free time and through activism later in life. The specific inspiration I took from Sámi culture for my cartoon is Narazen’s multitool, and how xe drums on Shield with it:[1] the resemblance isn’t super strong, but this was inspired by a Sámi drum hammer[2] and divination drum[3].

Got a job. Moved to a nice place. Got engaged to my gf.
I went on a secret adventure halfway across the world and survived. That was neat.
I took a gorgeous bike trip in WV. I also visited Pittsburgh for the first time and really dug it.
Three and a half years’ worth of effort finally bore fruit with the release of Guardian Cry. It’s a big step up from anything I’ve made before and my first game to break 100 downloads. I learned a lot of valuable lessons from it that I’m already applying to my current game dev project.
Started a new job and moved to a new town which I’m really liking

This year I met my amazing fantastic comrade gf who accepts and loves me for who I am, and whom I love so so much!!!
We met in China, but I still have one more year there while she went back to her home country :( but I’m absolutely confident that we’ll figure things outI’m exercising more thanks to my bike. We got a dog, and he is such a good boy. The kids are reading a lot (we are almost done with the Hobbit). And I am getting better at my art (watercolor and other mediums).
Story time? Story time. I got to visit NYC.
Family friend lives there, one thing lead to another and it went from my folks “So, DragonBallZinn, Piccolo needs help with something. You’re lonely, why don’t you go and get out?” Sure thing! I go, and holy shit is NYC cool. Piccolo has a son around my age and he hang out and he introduces me to his friends when I’m done helping out Piccolo. Apparently rumor has it one girl, (let’s call her ChiChi) had a bit of a crush on me because we both liked the same anime and video games.
I got a taste of what life was supposed to be like. It was fun, and for a week I wasn’t…well, basically a red chud. Do you know how uncanny it is to be at a bar, just shooting the shit with this girl you just met and feeling real chemistry? I felt crazy, like I’m tearing up just writing this.
As for NYC itself, the Brooklyn brownstones were beautiful, Central Park was lovely and I even ventured out on Long Island out of curiosity and Nassau wasn’t too terrible. Plus all the way out on Suffolk is Fire Island, if I lived there I could chat with LGBT people and hopefully just get de-brainwormed.

Been dating somebody new after getting out of an abusive relationship last year, and it’s been wonderful. Got a major promotion at the start of the year, doing well in interviews for a bigger position elsewhere rn. Been more active in organizing. Got my dual citizenship. It’s been a good year so far, lots of fun memories and adventures too
