The U.S. has paused bombing Iran for a third straight night after senior Trump administration officials reportedly warned the president about dwindling munitions stockpiles. In response, Iran said it would pause retaliatory strikes against U.S. bases across the Middle East. Over the weekend, the Pentagon updated its official war casualty database, adding more than 140 wounded service members. The new figures show that 18 U.S. troops have been killed and 624 wounded since the U.S. launched its war against Iran back in February. The Pentagon is separating the casualty figures: Deaths and injuries after the ceasefire ended on July 7 are listed in a separate database labeled generically as “overseas operations casualties.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry accused Ukraine of attacking an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea, saying one sailor was killed and another injured. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of passing on to Iran its satellite observations in the Middle East, allowing Iran to launch attacks across the region. This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House Tuesday for the first time since the U.S. and Israel started bombing Iran in February.
Despite the lull in fighting, Britain said its armed forces were ready to defend itself after Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps warned the U.K. not to allow U.S. bombers to fly from U.K. bases. On Thursday, the IRGC claimed that the U.S. had flown bombing missions against Iran from Fairford Air Base in southwest England.
Trump: Boom, boom, kaboom! Keep throwing all the bombs and missiles!! Yayy!!!
Advisor: Sir, we are running out of munitions.
Trump: Did I stutter, piggy?
Seriously, that’s how I imagined Trump is-- like a child he is being amazed with bombs, explosives and lights.
If running out of munition is what ends this bullshit, that’d be hilarious (in a dark way.)
The US has isolated itself from so much of the world, destroying its own global supply chains, alienating former allies. If they need resources from another country to continue this campaign, they’ll be shit out of luck.
Meanwhile, now the rest of the world knows the US is weakened. Fantastic job.
This is what happens when people with more money than sense get into power. Trump managed to bankrupt casinos - he clearly doesn’t pay attention to his resources before using them. Rich people act like everything can be solved by throwing money at problems, but there’s a hard, physical limit to everything - in this case, it takes time and resources to make more munitions. All the money in the world won’t make that happen faster.
I mean we almost definitely need the resources in Mexico.
Everyone is saying this war is stupid, pointless, useless… but have you ever considered how important it is for Pedohitler to distract people from the fact that
HE AND HIS FRIENDS FUCKING RAPED KIDS???
Many of them surely still are. And will.
This is why I think China stopped buying millions of barrels of oil. They knew if the price of oil shot to 300$/barrel he would have stopped nearly immediately. The fact oil stayed relatively low meant they could keep bombing and use up all their munitions. Now China has the perfect opportunity to take Taiwan. If they buy up a bunch more oil all the sudden that means they’ll be attacking Taiwan soon.
Ok anyone making any kinds of governing decisions or military decisions should be required to play SimCity and any RTS of their choice until they are at least competent at it. Take StarCraft or AoE for example, you never attack an enemy without having your mining, barracks, and supply lines put together first.
Soviet Republic: Workers & Resources would be a good fit for your list.
Only trump could manage to wipe out both our oil and weapons stockpiles in the same move…
I’m pretty sure it was Bush who actually wiped them out. Think of how much stockpile got dropped in Iraq and Afghanistan. I’m sure at that time the US had near limitless munitions stored from decades of overproduction. There was never a day where the quantity of available munitions was questioned.
I think you’re drastically underestimating how fast we can build munitions if you think something 20 years ago is causing problems today
Think of all the cold war, Vietnam and probably older dumb bombs that were dropped. The US had a stockpile like Russia did. Sure they’ve built more, but I think you’re drastically underestimating how large a surplus the US probably once had.
Pigeon on a chess board. With an audience clapping and saying they’ve never seen anyone play the game quite that way. Genius.
Don’t forget all the random shitting all over the board.
Don’t insult the pigeons
Putin will be pleased.
This is the equivalent of Ireland running out of booze.
What the hell are we even bombing at this point?
Worldwide attention on the Epstein Files
Schools, bridges, hospitals, power plants, water facilities, etc… You know war crimes.
That’s fucking sad
Trump threatened that the US would destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant any time its forces attack a ship in the Strait of Hormuz not even a week ago.
You know, war crimes.
So in theory Canada could walk across the border and grab some states?
I say that in jest of course.
Yes, we wouldn’t want to be corrupted by their free healthcare.
You get free healthcare, but you now have to speak french. Deal? :p
Just burn the Whitehouse down again.
Its already a bombsite. Better to shell that florida nonce-camp he calls a home.
¿Por qué no los dos?
Canada would not take on any US states even if we begged them on our knees.
The new figures show that 18 U.S. troops have been killed and 624 wounded since the U.S. launched its war against Iran back in February.
This right here. The United States didn’t launch shit. tRUMP started an illegal campaign, unsanctioned and unwarranted. Just like he did in Venezuela, just like he did when he started murdering people in boats in the Gulf of Mexico. He’s a war criminal. WE didn’t launch missiles targeting a school and murdering a bunch of little girls, HE DID.
Yeah, well, the policy of spending far more money in “Defense” than any other country in the World and even more than the next 6 countries combined, long predates Trump and is totally bipartisan.
And the rules that allow American presidents to launch attacks on other countries without Congressional approval also precede Trump by several decades and were also put in place with bipartisan support.
The whole edifice of American politics from the last several decades have pretty much together given a loaded gun to a toddler and, unsurprisingly, he fired it with no rime or reason.
Countries with no such extreme cult of Militarism and Imperialism have a far, far higher barrier to end up in wars with other countries when some out of control Far-Right muppet gets elected to power - I mean, just look at how, for example, Argentina has yet to start a war with everybody even though they too have a Far-Right nutter in power.
Putting the blame entirelly on the toddler for shooting that loaded gun is bullshit.
Too many people still treat trump like the disease instead of the symptom, the rot is there and you have to cut it ALL out to survive, not just the mole head.
yup, it’s somehow everyone but trumps fault. OK. Cool. Great point. Well thought out.
That’s not what was said, try reading it again.
WE didn’t launch missiles targeting a school and murdering a bunch of little girls, HE DID.
Except the money to launch these things are coming from your tax dollars. Trump gives those orders, but God knows how many Americans need to listen to them so this bullshit can happen. It’s America doing this alright.
tRUMP started an illegal campaign
Oh really? Did he sail down there and do it all by himself? Or was it the US Military that did it?
Like it or not Trump is President of USA because the American people elected him!So it is indeed true that US started the illegal campaign, and bombed a girls school, and the people of USA are as guilty in this as the German people were about the Nazi atrocities of WW2.
You don’t get to wash your hands for the entire population of USA, that chose to vote for the obvious psychopath, and the about a third of the population of USA that still support Trump and what the administration is doing.
Like it or not, this is America, this is who you are now!!!
the entire population of USA, that chose to vote for the obvious psychopath
lolwut? You think his election was unanimous?
There is obviously election interference. There was a mailbox on fire in a blue city, bomb threats called where dem voters were. There was no evidence for interference in 2020 and it has piled up for 2024. When I voted my notification paper did not come out of the machine. They have gerrymandered everything and are doing everything to discriminate against women and black people so that it’s harder for them to vote.
Using google, Amazon, or Microslop? Because there is a reason these assholes have all this power. That’s why I’m doing a lot to protect privacy, big corps, and fight facism that way.
This person is right. All of America is MAGA in the eyes of the world. It will continue to be MAGA until it revolts and crushes their leaders and their families and their businesses and their way of life. Until then, every American is MAGA or a coward, and I honestly don’t know which is worse.
The difference between the US being 100% MAGA or being 30% MAGA seems negligible, given that MAGA policy happens either way.
Don’t take this badly, but when it comes to military aggression on far away countries, most of Americans were MAGA before that slogan even existed - this shit, spending money to enable this shit and putting in place the policies that allow this shit to easilly be made to happen was all done with bipartisan approval and that of most Americans.
The only Americans not MAGA in this sense are the one who have always been anti-War.
All of America is MAGA in the eyes of the world
Well then the “world” is wrong. Stop being so fucking stupid and abandoning factual reality.
You sound like that Tesseract guy. It must be everyone else that’s wrong. Not Americans. Factual reality is that Americans caused this mess and no amount of “I didn’t vote that way” whining will change how you’re viewed.
I know my opinion isn’t popular, not even with me, but this is the way it is now.
It is sadly true. Just like the Nazis in the past, we Americans are all in the same bag whether we like it or not. Can’t really blame you.
Yeah ok, we’re all Nazis now apparently. Cool.
If you don’t stand up, yes you’re a Nazi.
Do you think that people worldwide made distinctions on who the “good” German’s were while the Nazis steamrolled Europe?
Look, I don’t like it but this is what the rest of the world is going to see. Relax, if we didn’t want people to think this maybe we should have fought harder than just thinking voting would solve all our problems in a broken system.
Kinda, yeah. We are currently sitting at the table with Nazis. They are our administration, and we have yet to clear them from the table. And until we do, it’s not unfair for other nations and their people to assume we’re Nazis as well.
If we don’t want to look like Nazis then we have to clean house until none of the filth remains. And if you’re not willing to do that, then you should get used to the same scorn Germans had to deal with after Hitler, because you deserve it.
TL;DR Don’t want to be accused of being a Nazi, then we shouldn’t let Nazis sit at our table.

I know my opinion isn’t popular
Your opinion is wrong, factually. It is based on an incredibly poor understanding of the situation. You’re just looking to excuse your bigotry.
Some Americans are to blame, some are not. Which incredibly simple concept are you not getting? Democracy? Or the fact that the US is made up of more than one individual?
There is no logical basis for your bullshit argument and thankfully, no matter how presumptuous and pompous you apparently are, you don’t speak for the entire rest of the world.
Check the rest of the replies to your comments. Even your fellow countrymen are siding with me.
When you commented on the Japanese deserving to be bombed, no the individuals did not. Did Japan deserve to be bombed? Yes, just not with atomic weapons. Similarly, do all Americans deserve to suffer? No. Does America? Absolutely. The fact that you can’t understand that who your country is internationally is who you the American citizen are, just further lends weight to my argument.
Unfortunately unlike previous decades, you Americans don’t get to ignore the other 98% of humanity. Welcome to the century of American humiliation. You chose it, you live with the consequences.
You’re the one ignoring a huge chunk of our population. Shove your hypocrisy up your ass.
Oh, and also apparently we’re simultaneously policing the globe but also ignoring it entirely?
Ignoring the wants and agency of the globe is not incompatible with ‘policing’ the globe, especially given the style of American ‘policing’ is killing random fishermen and triple tapping girls schools.
And who cares about a large chunk of your population that is apparently powerless and too pathetic to do anything to stop the war crimes the US has been committing every single day of every single year since its founding.
Ignoring the wants and agency of the globe is not incompatible with ‘policing’ the globe, especially given the style of American ‘policing’ is killing random fishermen and triple tapping girls schools.
Well yeah it is, by definition. If we’re engaging with the rest of the world in any way, we’re not ignoring it. Don’t move the goalposts, you dishonest piece of shit.
What country are you from? Or you another pussy on this site that refuses to divulge because you know what’ll happen? We all know you won’t.
Buffalox, What country are you from that 100% of your hands are clean, smartass?
I do not claim my hands are clean, it was the poster I responded to that claimed that.
the people of USA are as guilty
You’re right to say he was elected. Which means it’s a really stupid oversight on your part to say it’s “all” Americans guilty for it, considering quite a few of us did NOT vote to elect him.
You don’t get to wash your hands for the entire population of USA
That’s correct. Neither do you get to implicate the entire population.
As a nation Americans as a collective of a nation are guilty.
No one else is responsible for the American government than Americans. Thanks for that. Damn. I’m so tired of getting buried under fascism and getting beat up for someone else’s shit at the same time.
They should try being LGBT here right now.
Like it or not, the US president is wielding the US like a cudgel at the rest of the world and the individual American is powerless to stop him.
You just did nothing to stop him.
I voted and actively campaigned door to door and within my family against him, so not nothing.
What did you do?
Voting stopped Hitler, right?
Yes and no. He gave the orders. He didn’t actually do the actions to make them happen. “I was just following orders” still doesn’t work.
Look, mate, at least half a century of pro-Military American policies with bipartisan support (from the decades of spending in “Defense” more than the next 6 countries combined to the laws that let an American president attack a country without Congressional approval) have put a massive gun in the hands of this toddler and made sure it was loaded.
So you don’t get to blame it all on the toddler in whose hands a loaded gun was placed.
And this is why you dont just hand the keys to our munitions wharehouses to Israel while making sure its not tracked.
I don’t think most people understand that the US doesn’t have huge stockpiles of the more advanced weaponry needed to perform in a modern contested environment. Yeah, we can bomb the shit out of a country without modern defenses, but to bomb a country with advanced military capabilities (or being shadow-supplied advanced capabilities by China) you need to use the new shit, which is both expensive and slow to produce.
So I understand why a normal person might think it is simply a moral issue to start randomly bombing the shit out of another country for funsies, but the fucking President of the US, aka the Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces, should understand that we need those strategic stockpiles if anything else happens that is ACTUALLY important… maybe defending an invasion of Taiwan? He is actively weakening the US, and China and Russia have to be salivating about it.
if anything else happens that is ACTUALLY important
Then his leadership and tactical brilliance will…
Oh, we’re fucked, right?
Yeah, the US military has been running on fumes for a while. 20 years of Iraq and Afghanistan ran the US military into the ground. Lots of bad procurement decisions and profiteering doomed any adventures the US was going to get involved with, like this one.
Lol. It hurt itself in its capitalism.
Occupy Cascadia!
Coming up next: Repurposing factories for wartime production!
So they used up all our ammunition on nonsense. What happens when someone else decides to take advantage of that now
edit: fair warning I’m not doing great so I’m more prone to doomposting. which this is. anyway:
We Balkanize, the good bits get snatched up by other nation states, and the shit bits get snatched up by private militias. Or, with no conventional munitions left to defend ourselves we start a nuclear war. Or, slim chance here, people vote against this despite Democrats sabotaging the process and then hold them accountable for consistently fucking this up for the last forever, and we reach a kind of degraded equilibrium, american empire declines, chinese empire rises, and MLs tie themselves in knots trying to justify China doing the kinds of things necessary for maintaining a global empire
Oh, and the Enlightenment dies. Like you think its dead now, just wait.
edit again: do not take this comment to be “usa good.” this comment is more along the lines of “geopolitics is a delicate balance of influence distributed amongst several world powers, all of which are bad, and the sudden decline of the biggest player creates a vacuum that is sure to amplify human suffering worldwide”
I’ve been on that doomer train too. I hope you can find some kind of personal peace.
Name checks out.
