Do you know how crazy this is? How damning it is? This is a nation that successfully plundered half the world. The wealth it stole, under a system that could efficiently put it to use, should have made their entire society wealthy for a millenia. Yet not even a couple generations removed, and its already collapsing into poverty.
Like yeah Imperialism is bad and they shouldnt have been looting other countries to begin with. It baffles the mind though that they somehow managed to waste all that wealth so rapidly. The British Monarchy itself is only worth like 28 billion. Which yeah is a lot, but its nothing compared to what they stole.

Look at Amerikkka, the “richest country on earth” yet most of it lives in squalor because of some pretentious moral opposition to “decadence” such as the poors in the country having jobs and even time off from those jobs. So much so that in the US or Canada, one of the least shitty places to live is Quebec, where most of it is French.

Somewhat related, I still am strong in my pet theory (don’t wanna take credit for it mind) that Farage’s late return to lead Reform in 2024 was due to Starmer cutting a deal not to contest Farage in his constituency. Without Reform’s rise in the polls post-Farage return, Labour might not have won. Very, very on brand for Keith’s legacy to be delivering an openly fascist government to the UK.
