I can’t believe the company pulling through with affordable but powerful graphics cards is Intel.
This is like the season 1 bad guy joining forces against a greater evil.
Do Intel’s GPUs still take a hard hit on Linux?
Nvidia did invest in Intel
More like pre 2025 and post 2025
Nvidia always has been the biggest dick around hardware manufacturers
Yeah, but NVIDIA used to be at least somewhat affordable. Now it feels like you have to get a credit check in order to buy any type of their components.
Product Roadmap:

Omfg take my upvotes.
You gave me far too many laughs to justify in a simple upvote, thank you. lmao

You can tell this image is AI because the guy has three arms but real people only have two
Also the too few fingers per hand.
That’s not an arm, but it is prehensile

I remember the drivers that inspired that finger. Thank fuck for vulkan
What an amazing middle finger. Very little knuckle, full fingered, fist in anger, lips curling for an expletive. Fucking beautiful form.
My 2025 pc (before the ram price jumps) is all amd!
And its honestly pretty awesome
And 20gb vram is nice
Not that i think amd is a saint among these types of companies
But compared to Nvidia…?
AMD does the exact same as Nvidia. They’re just less successful with it. It doesn’t really matter who you buy from in that regard, I think.
Linux GPU drivers would like to have a word…
AMD doesn’t gate the high vram to be only their top end model. They have generally higher vram across the board.
yeah the main reason AMD isn’t quite as price-gouged is that ROCm isn’t quite as in demand as CUDA for non-gaming uses for GPUs.
The history of consumer computing is just looking at all the different ways Nvidia has figured out how to fuck said consumers over
Well, I guess I’ll just buy my hardware from a different supplie-
sound of twin-engine B-52 Tariff Bomber zooming overhead, as wallet buster economic sanctions whistle towards their targets
Remember when we had to have a secondary nvidia GPU just to play games?
Remember all of the fucky hacks, install orders, and workarounds we needed to make it work when our main GPU was an AMD card?
Or when it was leaked for the 3rd time that nvidia was paying devs to make their game run worse on AMD hardware?
Yet people keeps buying their product. It’s almost as if voting with your wallet is all that’ll ever work.
Billionaires love when you think you can only vote with your wallet. They have many, many more votes than you. Nvidia doesn’t give two shits about your wallet compared to the ones paying them to fill datacenters.
Nvidia doesn’t care about consumer votes. They have plenty of AI dollars.
Yet all people I hear have bought new computers in the last 15 years (very few exceptions) somehow has Nvidia cards.
I went AMD when I bought my new computer 3 years ago! (Not that they’re much better at all!)
Hoping cheap Chinese GPUs and RAM catch up soon!
If the Future of free and open computing ends up being Chinese, it’s gonna be hilarious.
The irony would be glorious, for sure
The country of the Great Firewall actually making free and open computing possible in the World at a time were most supposed Democracies are closing it all down claiming it’s “for the sake of the children” or “to protect us from Terrorism” or some other thin self-serving excuse for expanding civil society surveillance, would truly be the ultimate role-reversal.
The sales of consumer GPUs make up a veeeery tiny percentage of nvidias revenue. Nvidia could stop selling consumer GPUs tomorrow and it wouldn’t even make a noticeable dent in their revenues. And what other options do u really have? Any other company ain’t much better.
voting with your wallet
I’m terrified how many people think buying and selling stuff is moral, civic, and democratic duty. Econ 101 doesn’t even work in economics, why are we applying it to everything?
We don’t have the money to back up our vote in this ‘election’. If you could even call it that. Capitalism isn’t a democratic process.
If you havr the money for a Nvdia GPU, i think you have the money for an AMD or Intel GPU…
If you genuinely think they care about making a mere thousand bucks on a lumpy graphics card then you have been sleeping under a rock. Their costumers are Amazon, Microslop and Meta. Not you or me.
I am perfectly aware but that does not mean you should continue to buy from them, they still make money from them and they are evil as fuck also, when companies will inevitably start to buy less from Nvidia, it will be a problem for them
