The pineapple (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with an edible fruit; it is the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae.
The pineapple is native to South America, where it has been cultivated for many centuries. The introduction of the pineapple plant to Europe in the 17th century made it a significant cultural icon of luxury. Since the 1820s, pineapple has been commercially grown in greenhouses and many tropical plantations. The fruit, particularly its juice, has diverse uses in cuisines and desserts.
Pineapples grow as a small shrub; the individual flowers of the unpollinated plant fuse to form a multiple fruit. The plant normally propagates from the offset produced at the top of the fruit or from a side shoot, and typically matures within a year.

i was watching (or rather reading the comments of) a video about living in phoenix and in doing so realized that the narrative that hogs here like to spout that phoenix was ruined by commiefornians moving in is really just a lie they have to tell themselves to avoid confronting the fact that the problems with this place (aside from the heat) are systemic and have been around for a long time despite it being pretty solidly republican until the last 8ish years, and it’s still somewhat conservative leaning overall

So me and my two coworkers were locking up the restaurant when this woman approaches us, freaking the fuck out. Apparently there was a car with a strange man that had been following her. At first I’m thinking, “Oh he might have her mistaken for his Uber passenger” but when I thought about it more this made no sense. Anybody that has even been tangentially related with Uber knows how it works down there, the road he was on following wasn’t even finished being reopened from being sealed for pedestrian use. Dude was about to drive into a dead end he should know is there.
Anyways, this woman is crying, and I just reassure her that the three of us aren’t letting Jack shit happen to her. Eventually the driver hits a road block and turns around, but he stops when he drives by the woman again. And unlike last time a scenario like this played out in front of me, I wasn’t the hero. The straight guy I work with starts reaching in his bag and running at this stalker’s car, and after that the driver sped off as fast as he could on such a cramped street. But we made sure she got to her car safe, got her phone number and she texted me when she was home safe.
The straight guy was worried that rushing the car like that was too much, but him doing that made her smile for the first time in our interaction, I could tell that it made her more comfortable knowing that a random ass man would have thrown hands with the dude that was stalking her ::: I
For like 2 months I had to leave the house every Saturday for my pottery class but now that its over its so hard to force myself

Today already counts as a good day and there isnt much that can fuck it up, cause I got to pet goats! So glad I went downtown to get a shower curtain before work today. There was some kinda thing for kids going on which including a petting zoo, which i absolutely partook in. Had every goat in the pen circled up for pets cause as an adult with goat experience, im way better at it than a toddler. It was rad

I fucking hate my memory foam mattress, it’s so hot it wakes me up after only a few hours of sleeping. I’ve been living like this for years, it’s too expensive to get rid of or even think about replacing, at best I can get some kind of cool gel topper to not feel like I’m sleeping on hot coals. I’ve put it off because that shit is expensive too, but I can’t live like this anymore.
