NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A Super Bowl halftime show performer was charged Thursday with two misdemeanors, about 4 1/2 months after he ran across the field at the Superdome waving a flag that included the words “Sudan and Free Gaza,” Louisiana State Police said.

Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, turned himself in to authorities to face of charges resisting a police officer and disturbing the peace by interrupting a lawful assembly, police said. He surrendered in coordination with his attorney and was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center.

Nantambu revealed the flag and ran on the field during rapper Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance on Feb. 9. He was detained on the field after his demonstration but not charged. The NFL said at the time he would be banned for life from league stadiums and events.

According to a statement from police, Nantambu had been hired as an extra performer and “had permission to be on the field during the performance, but did not have permission to demonstrate as he did.”

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy thanked investigators for their work.

“We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law,” McCarthy said in a statement.

Bush jr knowingly started a war on false pretences that killed a MILLION people. One million human lives ended on the basis of lies that he knew full and well were lies. Please enlighten me on exactly what trump - disgusting as he is - has done that outweighs the deaths of a million human beings.

Spoiler: the answer is nothing, but you think the nothing is worse because Bush’s victims were brown so they don’t count as people to you.

We have to take it back.

See when you say this, you are referring to a previous time. That’s what that means, but there is nothing there. Only your idealism trying to ignore the reality of our history. Why do you want to go “back” to a fantasy? What America needs is a revolution that goes well beyond the New Deal. That was just a way to appease the working class to keep the same power structures in place, and it bought the ruling class time to regroup. That is why we are here now, because of how power functions in the imperial core of global capitalism. That is the problem at the root. That is why politicians are bought and paid for every election. The mythology of ‘American values’ is something you can not let go of for your own growth. It is very sad to see. You must kill the brainworms you have to understand the world and America as it is, not how you believe it to be.

much, much worse than the status quo presidents we’ve had in the past.

Shut the fuck up, crackkker. There were literal slave owners who held the office of president and many more who ordered the genocide of Native American people. Trump is an asshole who does ghoulish shit worthy of condemnation, especially with the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

But there is no way to do worse than genocide, whether it’s indigenous people in 1831 or Palestinians in 2025. Do not white wash the crimes of former US presidents and downplay the evils they committed. Trump is exactly what you can expect from a country who, along with one of their neighbors, wiped out nearly 100 million people, enslaved another 20 million, and then backed brutal dictatorships such as Batista in Cuba, Pinochet in Chile, or Pol Pot in Cambodia.

This is legitimately a line that Republicans use to downplay America’s crimes. Many countries have done less than the mountain of genocides the US has perpetrated. Also, why are you assuming they aren’t American or that they are trying to lionize their home country?

He IS worse than them. The only reason he isn’t owning slaves and outright killing people is because he’s only been in power for a few months. But he is already responsible for the deaths of thousands, and they are preparing for a future in which prison slaves will be a major labor force in America.

He is easily the most corrupt president in all of history, and he is the ONLY president who attempted an Insurrection in order to install himself as Dictator for Life. He also stole hundreds of classified documents to sell to our enemies. No other president has tried any of that.

Stop acting like America is the only nation that has misbehaved throughout history. Plenty of people died during the Cuban Rebellion, and European countries are responsible for plenty of atrocities around the world during their imperial stages. Belgium did lots of ugly stuff in Africa, France did lots in Indo-China, the Spanish unleashed a plague on the Native Americans that wiped out 90% of them before the rest of the Europeans showed up and finished the job. England brutalized nearly all of the world for centuries, just ask the Indians or the Chinese. They treated the indigenous Australians every bit as badly as the Native Americans were treated. And let’s not forget Germany’s multiple attempts at world domination. All this stuff happened at the exact same time as the American atrocities were happening. Your part of the world is no less complicit in the ugliness of history.

Before all that, we had Romans and Khans and Huns and Vikings, etc. murdering entire cities and nation states.

America isn’t responsible for all the bad in the world, CIVILIZATION is. Blaming other nations, and perpetuating the hatred, xenophobia, and violence isn’t going to make the world the better place you purport to want.

                  Oh, you poor thing.

Firstly, every gusano the rebels killed in cuba deserved to die. It is a good thing they are dead, and I hope for more dead gusanos.

See, the thing is, killing isn’t bad. You don’t believe its bad either, you just want to handwave it away as a thing that happens, and not a tool that can be used for good or evil. America is and always has used violence in the name of imperialism. Other nations have as well, as you noted, but none of them match the nation built off of (at least) 2 genocides, and continued to actively participate in genocides throughout the world to this very day. There is no match for the amount of death and destruction that america has caused in the world, through history. None come close. Your correlation of violence as a whole to imperialist genocide is part of the exact representation of liberalism that disgusts us here. Pretending any statements I’ve made are equal to this idea that america created violence and is the only bad thing that ever happened is weak sauce, my guy.

Also, my part of the world is the american south. Feel free to visit sometime. I love choking out nazis.

What “military aggression” do you see from China that is even remotely comparable to that of the USA?

Ships in the South China Sea? Fistfights with Indian border guards?

I skimmed it, not going to closely read all that horseshit.

The point is that is that you think Trump is uniquely bad, worse than presidents who killed millions and it’s because he’s not as bigoted against Russians as you are.

He’s a monster but he’s OBVIOUSLY not worse than GWB unless you don’t value the lives of Arabs at all, you racist scumbag.

It’s so easy to just make up lies, and demand they be accepted as truth. In America, that’s a MAGA Nazi strategy.

The only difference between the set of bloodthirsty imperial freaks you take issue with, and the set you belong to, is that liberal fascists insist on lying to themselves about what they are.
